The AK47 Rifle Empty The AK47 Rifle

I chose the AK47 for my battle/survival rifle. It was a hard decision since all of my training is on the AR-15 platform. I had too many problems with the AR’s and deep inside I just felt I couldn’t trust them.

The AK47 Rifle Empty AK 47

I agree with your assessment of the AK 47 rifle. It is extremely dependable even when you are unable to clean it regularly which can happen often in a survival situation. This is something that many people I have talked to don't seem to take into consideration, and it can be a deadly mistake. It is a good idea to keep back up parts for any weapon you have, also.

I also agree with you concerning the AK in fact I used the same line of thinking when I bought my Saiga AK-47 in 308cal. for my new hunting rifle. I needed something that was rugged enough to sit in the rain or snow, and if it falls off a log into the mud I need it to go bang (did I mention that there are bears around). To be honest it is not my first choice as a survival gun but it is certainly high on my list. You got a great weapon system.
